Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) and Brow Consultation:

1.1. We offer a FREE consultation to SMP and Brow clients to explain the procedures and outline any known associated risks. During this consultation, we will provide a realistic expectation of the results.

1.2. SMP clients will receive pre-treatment instructions and will be informed of any considerations before proceeding with the treatments.

1.3. It is the client’s responsibility to inform us of any known or suspected medical conditions as outlined in the Medical History Declaration form.

1.4. Coastline SMP reserves the right to refuse SMP treatment to anyone assessed as unsuitable for physical, mental, or emotional reasons.

Skin Micropigmentation Services:

2.1. Our SMP, Brows, and Fine Line tattoo services involve the use of microneedles and pigments applied under the epidermis layer of the skin, which is considered permanent. While skin pigmentation can be reversed, the success of any reversal procedure is not guaranteed.

2.2. For SMP clients, we offer a patch test to assess ink retention and address any concerns related to adverse reactions to pigments.

2.3. Clients should understand that pigment fading is likely over time, and periodic touch-ups may be necessary due to differences in scalp conditions, sun exposure, or other scalp damage.

2.4. SMP treatment is typically delivered in 2-4 sessions spaced 7-14 days apart.

2.5. Coastline SMP will make a professional judgment about the completion of the treatment when further improvement is not possible through additional sessions.

2.6. Coastline SMP reserves the right to cancel procedures if clients are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, which may jeopardize their safety.

2.7. We retain the right to refuse treatment services if we feel threatened, abused, or unsafe in the presence of clients or accompanying individuals.

2.8. In cases where extremely dry or flaking skin could compromise results, Coastline SMP may reschedule the session for the client’s benefit.

Client Acknowledgment:

3.1. SMP treatment provides the appearance of short or shaved hair but does not replicate the feel or texture of natural hair.

3.2. For clients with longer hair, SMP can reduce the contrast between hair and scalp, creating the illusion of greater hair density.

3.3. Scalp scar tissue absorbs pigment differently, and some irregularities may be visible in scar areas after treatment. 3.4. Discomfort may be associated with the treatment.

3.5. Adherence to our aftercare instructions is crucial for optimal results; failure to follow instructions may void the treatment warranty at Coastline SMP’s discretion.

3.6. Pre-and-post-treatment images of the procedure and client may be taken and used at Coastline SMP’s discretion, respecting the client’s privacy if requested.

3.7. Variations in skin tones and textures may affect pigment absorption, requiring some clients to undergo more sessions.

3.8. No guarantee can be given regarding the number of sessions required to achieve optimal results.

3.9. A completed treatment refers to the originally agreed hairline position and requested intensity, without alterations.

3.10. Costs for additional sessions beyond the “average” treatment time, including travel expenses, parking fees, accommodation, or lost earnings, are the client’s responsibility.

3.11. If SMP removal is requested by the client, all associated costs are the client’s responsibility.

3.12. While complications from SMP are rare, they can occur, including slight bleeding, itchiness, redness, discoloration, fading, or localized swelling.

3.13. SMP clients should consider yearly touch-ups if they experience changes of hair colour, further hair loss, sun damage or continued sun exposure.


4.1. Clients must agree to the hairline design and positioning before commencing treatment. Alterations to the hairline or colour intensity after the second treatment will incur a separate $350 touch-up session charge.

4.2. For scar camouflage work, due to the unpredictable nature of scar tissue, up to 4 sessions are included in the original quoted price.

4.3. Additional sessions, beyond the initial 4 inclusive sessions, may be incurring a $350 touch-up session charge.

4.4. We provide a 12-month guarantee with a FREE touch-up session to all SMP clients within the first 12 months.

4.5. The guarantee will be void if clients fail to adhere to aftercare instructions, tamper with the SMP procedure, receive additional treatment from non-approved practitioners, or compromise the results achieved by Coastline SMP.

4.6. SMP touch-up sessions after the 12-month guarantee period will incur a $350 per session.

Quotes and Payments:

5.1. All service quotes are valid for 3 months.

5.2. A 20% deposit is required in advance to secure appointments.

5.3. Coastline SMP reserves the right to retain deposits for cancellations within 48 hours or nondisclosure of known medical conditions.

5.4. SMP clients must pay 50% of the remaining balance at the end of the first treatment session, with the outstanding amount due after the second session. ZipMoney and bank transfers must be completed in advance to ensure cleared funds before each treatment session.

5.5. Accepted payment methods include Visa, MasterCard, EFTPOS, cash, and bank transfers. We do not accept checks, American Express, or Laser cards. Card payments require photographic ID from the cardholder.

·      Afterpay in studio – must have Afterpay card in phone wallet 

5.6. Coastline SMP reserves the right to review and modify quotes and recommendations based solely on photographic evaluation.

Appointments & Cancellations:

6.1. Cancellations due to emergencies or illness will be assessed individually. Postponements due to unforeseen events will be considered on a case-by-case basis, with alternative dates offered when possible.

6.2. A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to reschedule appointments. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice may incur a $200 fee at our discretion. A no-show of your appointment will result in a loss of your deposit. Your total treatment balance will increase by the deposit amount at our discretion.

6.3. Coastline SMP is not liable to reimburse or refund for completed treatments.

6.4. We are not responsible for costs associated with rescheduling treatment services, including travel expenses, accommodation, or economic losses due to time off work.

6.5. We ensure that all artists and treatment services comply with industry standards and local government requirements.

6.6. Coastline SMP reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions at any time without prior notice, with new amendments superseding previous terms and conditions.

Payment of deposit is deemed as acceptance of all above booking terms and conditions.
